Dafydd is an Associate in our Commercial Disputes team.

Dafydd is experienced in advising a range of clients on various issues such as breach of contract, Debt Recovery and Insolvency. Dafydd also has experience arranging litigation funding and acting on behalf of clients who have the benefit of litigation funding. His work has also included claims based in fraud, claims under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and intellectual property.

Dafydd acts on behalf of claimants or defendants in claims in both the County Court and High Court.

Recent work

£multi-million FSMA claim
Acting on behalf of two groups of investors in respect of a £multi-million claim, including obtaining freezing injunctions on behalf of both groups, for a breach of FSMA (promoting, establishing and operating a collective investment scheme in breach of FSMA), fraudulent misrepresentation and unlawful means conspiracy.

First Tier and Upper Tribunal
Acting on behalf of a client in respect of a group of appeals at the First Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal.

Winding-Up Order
Defending a series of claims against a national regulator by a rogue company and obtaining a Winding-Up Order against said company.

Credit Provider 
Successfully defended at trial a claim against a credit provider for alleged misrepresentation, breach of contract, secret commission and breach of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

High-value debt recovery claims
Advising on and acting on behalf of clients in respect high-value Debt Recovery claims.

Consultancy breach of contract
Acting on behalf of a consultancy company in its £multi-million claim against a telecom company for breach of contract.
