Emma is an Associate in our Commercial Property team, helping clients with all aspects of commercial property advice, including acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant.

She joined Capital’s Real Estate team in November 2021 and was promoted to Associate in November 2022.

Emma acts for companies, individuals and educational institutions, and has experience with assisting our corporate department with commercial property aspects of corporate acquisitions. Emma has particular focus on landlord and tenant matters and is the main point of contact for AJ Mobility, dealing with all aspects of their letting portfolio. Emma also acted for King Furniture on the acquisition of their London showrooms.

She also provides advice to GP partnerships with the disposal, acquisition and assignment of GP premises, acting for the British Medical Association and is also part of the Associated British Ports delivery team.

Acting for an international retailer, King Furniture, in their acquisition of their UK stores, including their flagship showroom.

A residential development

Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of leases for a residential development.

University of South Wales

Assisting in the acquisition of a multi-million pound site for the University of South Wales which was subject to occupational tenants and had a number of environmental considerations.

RAM RE

Acting for receivers, RAM RE, in the disposal of a property portfolio including the sale of multi-let buildings and dealing with the ancillary lease work.

Corporate acquisitions

Acting on the real estate aspect of various corporate acquisitions, which included dealing with property portfolios.

A large GP practice in Liverpool

Advising a large GP practice in Liverpool to reflect their partnership agreement, including assignments of various leases, surrenders of part, a licence to occupy and advising on the grant of the new lease.

Wayleave agreements

Negotiating wayleave agreements on behalf of a tenant with both the landlord and operators.
