Rebecca is a Senior Associate in our Employment and Immigration team.

Rebecca works with businesses of all sizes and particularly enjoys working with exciting start-ups. She has done a lot of work with our InsurTech and FinTech clients, combining her employment expertise with her knowledge of the requirements of our regulated clients.

Along with general HR advisory-type work, she has a case load of over 30 live employment tribunal claims, some of which are high-profile with significant media attention. She also has extensive experience in advising on and negotiating exits via settlement agreements, including for numerous directors/shareholders on sensitive and high-value exits.

Rebecca has particular expertise in employment/worker status issues, having advised and provided training to numerous public and private sector organisations, and individuals, on their obligations under the off-payroll working rules (IR35). She has run numerous group actions for individuals with deemed employment/worker status, seeking to recover holiday pay.

Advising on litigation risk/strategy, liaising with and supporting instructed counsel, providing guidance to businesses and individuals on tribunal process.

Corporate acquisitions 
Providing support on complex corporate acquisitions and sales by assisting with ancillary document preparation, contract drafting/reviews, the application of TUPE and settlement arrangements for departing sellers.

Training 
Delivering training sessions on HR/employment law matters including the Equality Act 2010, off-payroll working rules and case law updates for a variety of audiences (including in-house to colleagues round table/industry specific events and both public and private sector clients).

International work
Advising/working with various multinational and foreign owned clients, working closely with lawyers from other jurisdictions.
